Lil Britian Fish and Chip Shop

Located in Bennington, Vermont.

Becca, Brie and I ventured out to Bennington today after picking Brie up from PLT (Peer leadership training). We walked around Bennington, bought some truffles, picked up a couple restaurant menus and stopped in a couple of the shops.

For lunch we went to a place I'd heard about and was really intent on checking out. It's a genuine Fish and Chip shop! In VERMONT! We were so pumped when we went in. You order at the counter and then sit down at a table (or wait to take it to go if that's what you're into). They had a nice little British pantry assortment on the side with things like British brand candies, coffees, teas... all the way down to beef bouillon!

Brie had her fish on a roll, Becca had the original and I had the bangers (British sausages). Of course each dish came with chips!! ("No french fries here!" is written on the menu). The two girls had cole slaw (That Becca, the cole slaw connoisseur, found particularly agreeable in decency). I had pickled beets, which were delicious. Brie and I found the chips absolutely marvelous. The whole thing: a huge, YUMMY success. :-)
