Kitchen Update of the day: WE DOMINATE MAC AND CHEESE

So after I finished my obnoxiously long Lost Generation essay, and mom and Brie came home from the club, we were absolutely knocked out. What a better way to relax than in front of the FoodNetwork? The FoodNetwork Challenge: Mac 'n Cheese came on. Needless to say, Brie and I got inspired. I had already eaten dinner at this point, but Brie was ravenous, and I'm always up for some action in the kitchen. I made a cheese sauce with skim milk (the horror! I know! it was the only milk in the house), corn starch, a mozzarella cheese stick, grated Vermont cheddar sharp, salt, pepper, a touch of cayenne, and a dash of egg whites. We cooked penne. When it was done, we added it to the cheese sauce and combined. This was transferred to a bowl in which we sprinkled with Parmesan cheese and Italian bread crumbs and put it under the broiler for, eh, 5 minutes? It was bubbly and golden brown. And Brie absolutely devoured it. The End.
