Bringing in the New Year with GraNoLA!

What could be better? Starting with a muesli mix (oats, sunflower seeds, raisins, walnuts, almonds, etc), I tossed that with a less-than-1-tablespoon slab of butter and a couple tablespoons of honey. At 300 degrees, I toasted the mixture for 20 minutes, taking time to stir the stuff every 5 minutes or so. After cooling, I added some chocolate chips. This is gonna be good!!!!

Today, the family celebrated January 1, 2010 at The Village Restaurant in Litchfield. It was a local color place, but really yummy. Brie is a veg head (she had fish and chips), mom had a crab/salmon cake sandwich, dad had a burger and I had a veggie wrap. The sweet potato fries were a hit!!!!

Happy New Year to all!!!!

(the stuff in the bowl beside me in the picture is the granola)
