We were going to go out to the Perfect Wife since they sent dad a birthday special, but dad has been eating out every day in CT, so he really just wanted a home-cooked meal. Mom made a marvelous chicken Parmesan and white rice. I made the salad. Mom, Brie and I have been looking up health tips according to our astrological signs, and all three of us--Sagittarius, Pisces and Aquarius--need eggs and egg yolks. Since dad doesn't like "weird" things in his salad, I hard-boiled some eggs and put them on the side for the girls to add to their plates. For Dad, his favorite dessert dish was prepared: 7 layer cookies. Mom thought of putting the baking pan in the fridge after the cookies had cooled, and they held together a lot better this time. The family mostly discussed our big move during dinner, as well as memories of the old club. Daddy opened all his cards and the mood was quite emotional! This birthday was special for him, since he's starting a new and big adventure in his life.
